Domestic hygiene: keeping the crockery clean (Mongolia)

A high percentage of the people of Mongolia are still transhumant shepherds, living in yurts and looking after many heads of cattle (horses, goats, sheep, yaks and sometimes camels), which creates a unique situation as regards water provisioning and toilets.

In 2015 only 60% of the inhabitants of Mongolia had drinking water, and 64% had improved sanitation. Nevertheless, both girls and boys are guaranteed primary (98 %) and secondary schooling (94% boys and 95% girls).
