Nappy drier or squeegee (Spain)
Changing and washing nappies is part of essential child hygiene. Wicker nappy driers placed near the fire in the kitchen or over braziers were present in rural households until shortly before the commercialisation of disposable nappies in the 70s. These latter were not invented to improve the quality of life of women and their children, but rather to meet the physiological needs of the first soviet astronauts.
