Distribution tasks: preparing and sharing out foodstuffs (Spain)

Large-scale chimney with a raised hood on brackets, a sophisticated version of the hearth on the ground, which was used by richer rural families.

Women are the main protagonists of distribution tasks in the family and local ambit. In the former, they prepare and share out products derived from biodiversity such as food or textiles, and in the latter they sell or exchange such products at local markets.
