 Gender differences in salaries and land ownership property (Europe)

There is still an important gender gap between women and men’s salaries in Europe in all professional sectors, including agriculture, and in addition most rural women are not guaranteed professional recognition nor the right to the family property where they work.

Only Spain and Wallonia in Belgium have, since recently, a legal system of shared ownership of property, which recognises their rights as workers, either self-employed or as businesswomen, and includes them as such in the Social Security system.
