Louisa Brandredth Aldrich-Blake (1865-1925)

She was one of the first British women who graduated in Medicine at the University of London, and the first woman to obtain a Master’s degree in Surgery. As senior Surgeon she performed some of the first operations of cervical and rectal cancer. She was also Dean of the London School of Medicine for Women (Royal Free Hospital), encouraging women to join the field of medicine
