Silhouetted by the morning Sun, an Indian man rides his bike past the iconic Hawa Mahal, also known as “Palace of the Breeze”. Situated in the Pink City of Jaipur, northern India, it was built in 1799, as an extension to the Royal City Palace. The Mahal as a total of 953 small casements, each with small lattice worked pink window, balconies and arched roofs with hanging cornices. It was designed and constructed in such a way to allow the royal ladies to observe the streets and yet not be seen by the public.
