How do women and men spend their earnings from the market? (Zimbabwe)
Subsistence farming settlements rarely have surplus food, but when they have the women usually sell it at the local market.
Women getting economic resources is very important in situations of poverty, both in Galicia in the 50s and in present day African states, because women devote almost all they earn from selling farm and craft products to their family needs, whereas men at most dedicate 75% of their income to their family, spending the rest on other things.
