Farm tool: planting stick (Spain)
Simple stick tools like these date back a long time. They are similar to the digging sticks still used by Bushwomen. of the increasingly rare hunter-gatherer lifestyle.
In Spain it has been used almost until the present day by women in the Valle de la Orotava for planting corn, for making a hole in the ground where the seeds are scattered without having to crouch because of its length. They use a similar but shorter stick for planting sprouts.
