Productive farm tasks: man ploughing (Spain)

Five centuries later, women in León still used ploughshares and yoked oxen which were identical to those of the Romans. Traditionally, men did the ploughing in the fields of all settlements, as can be seen in the picture of a capitol in a Monastery, whose cloister shows images of the way of life in the Middle Ages of people of all social classes.
